Important: Please read this handbook carefully before submitting your application. It contains the eligibility requirements, application process, training expectations, competition guidelines, and important candidate responsibilities.

1. Welcome to Hiraya

First of all, congratulations on taking the first step toward an unforgettable journey. Whether you are here to challenge yourself, discover your potential, inspire others, or fulfill a lifelong dream, we are honored to welcome you to the Hiraya family.

Miss Hiraya Filipina Korea is more than a beauty pageant. It is a platform that celebrates the beauty, strength, intelligence, compassion, culture, and leadership of Filipinas living in South Korea. Every candidate brings a unique story, and every story deserves to be heard.

As an official candidate, you will receive guidance, training, and opportunities to grow—not only as a competitor, but also as a woman who can inspire others through confidence, kindness, and purpose.

2. About Miss Hiraya Filipina Korea

Miss Hiraya Filipina Korea 2026 is the first pageant organized by Pinoy Sarang in partnership with PAG-ASA Charity. It was created to celebrate the beauty, strength, intelligence, culture, and purpose of Filipinas living in South Korea.

The word “Hiraya” represents dreams, aspirations, and the courage to turn them into reality. This competition aims to discover women who embody grace, compassion, integrity, perseverance, leadership, and service.

3. Mission and Vision

Mission

To empower Filipinas in South Korea through confidence-building, professional development, cultural pride, leadership training, and meaningful community service.

Vision

To become a respected Filipina pageant in South Korea known for developing empowered women who embody excellence, integrity, service, and cultural pride.

4. Core Values

5. Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Filipina or of Filipino descent.
  • At least 18 years old on or before the competition date.
  • Currently residing in South Korea.
  • Single, married, widowed, or separated women may apply.
  • No upper age limit.
  • Must possess good moral character and conduct herself with dignity and professionalism.
  • Must be willing to attend the official orientation, training sessions, rehearsals, photoshoots, and related activities.
  • Must read, understand, and follow the official Candidate Handbook and Rules & Regulations.

6. Application Process

  1. Submit the online application form before the deadline.
  2. Provide the required information and documents accurately.
  3. Application review: The Organizing Committee will review all submissions.
  4. Official online orientation: Qualified applicants will receive the schedule and meeting link.
  5. Official candidate confirmation: Selected applicants will receive written confirmation and further instructions.

7. Required Documents and Information

  • Complete personal and contact information.
  • Recent clear photograph.
  • Valid identification card or passport.
  • Proof of residence in South Korea, when requested.
  • Other documents that may be required by the Organizing Committee.

The Organizing Committee may request additional information when necessary to verify eligibility or complete the application review.

8. Candidate Orientation and Training

All qualified candidates are expected to attend the official online orientation. The date, time, and meeting link will be announced by the Organizing Committee.

Phase 1: Online Training — September to October

  • Catwalk and stage movement
  • Public speaking and self-introduction
  • Question-and-answer coaching
  • Personality development and confidence building
  • Stage presence and proper pageant conduct
  • Music, choreography, and practice guides

Phase 2: Intensive Preparation — November

  • Face-to-face rehearsals and stage blocking
  • Complete production-number rehearsals
  • Run-through of all competition segments
  • Review of rules, wardrobe, call times, and event-day procedures
  • Final technical and dress rehearsal

9. Official Competition Segments

Candidates may compete in the following official segments:

  • Opening Production Number
  • Self-Introduction
  • Casual Wear Presentation
  • Formal or Evening Wear Presentation
  • Talent Presentation
  • Question-and-Answer Portion
  • Advocacy and Community-Service Presentation, when required

10. Special Awards

Special awards may include:

  • Best in Talent
  • Best in Formal Wear
  • Best in Casual Wear
  • Best in Production Number
  • Best in Question and Answer
  • Best Smile
  • Best Personality
  • Miss Photogenic
  • Social Media Favorite
  • Miss Congeniality

Final awards, titles, prizes, and judging details will be announced by the Organizing Committee through official channels.

11. Candidate Responsibilities

  • Attend required orientations, training sessions, rehearsals, and official activities.
  • Follow schedules, deadlines, call times, and instructions from the Organizing Committee.
  • Maintain respectful and professional behavior toward fellow candidates, organizers, sponsors, judges, and guests.
  • Avoid bullying, harassment, discrimination, dishonesty, and conduct that may damage the reputation of the event.
  • Inform the Organizing Committee immediately if unable to attend a required activity.
  • Protect confidential information, unpublished results, and private candidate or organizer discussions.
  • Represent Miss Hiraya Filipina Korea with dignity, humility, and cultural pride.

12. Wardrobe and Presentation

  • Candidates are responsible for preparing the clothing, shoes, accessories, and personal items required for each segment unless otherwise announced.
  • Wardrobe must be tasteful, appropriate, safe, and suitable for the official theme and venue.
  • The Organizing Committee may provide additional wardrobe instructions before the event.
  • Candidates must arrive properly groomed and prepared for rehearsals, photoshoots, and the coronation event.

13. Judging and Results

  • Judging criteria and score weights will be announced or explained by the Organizing Committee.
  • Judges are expected to evaluate candidates independently and fairly.
  • The official results announced during the coronation event are final, subject to correction only in cases of verified tabulation or administrative error.
  • Attempts to influence judges, organizers, or tabulators may result in disciplinary action or disqualification.

14. Media, Photos, and Publicity

By participating in official Miss Hiraya activities, candidates acknowledge that photographs, videos, interviews, and event recordings may be used by Pinoy Sarang and authorized event partners for promotion, documentation, news coverage, and future event publicity, subject to applicable rules and consent requirements.

15. Important Reminders

  • Official announcements will be released only through authorized Hiraya or Pinoy Sarang channels.
  • Schedules and program details may change when necessary. Candidates will be informed of significant updates.
  • Do not send payments or confidential information to unauthorized individuals claiming to represent the pageant.
  • Keep copies of important messages, forms, and official confirmations.
  • Contact the Organizing Committee immediately when clarification is needed.

16. Acceptance of the Handbook

Submission of an application confirms that the applicant has read, understood, and agreed to comply with this Candidate Handbook, the Official Rules & Regulations, and lawful decisions of the Organizing Committee.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to update schedules, procedures, or reasonable event requirements when necessary. Material changes will be communicated through official channels.
