Important Information for Applicants and Candidates

Before You Apply

Please read the following frequently asked questions before submitting your application. These answers will help you understand the eligibility, competition requirements, fundraising system, attire, and responsibilities of an official Hiraya candidate.

1. Who may join Miss Hiraya Filipina Korea 2026?

The competition is open to Filipino women and women of Filipino descent who meet the official eligibility requirements. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Single, married, separated, and widowed applicants are welcome. There is no upper age limit.

2. May a Filipina-Korean applicant join?

Yes. A woman of Filipino descent, including the daughter of a Filipino parent, may apply as long as she meets the other official qualifications.

3. Do I need previous pageant experience?

No. Previous pageant experience is not required. Hiraya welcomes first-time candidates who are willing to learn, participate, and show their confidence, personality, talent, and purpose.

4. Is the Evening Gown required to be Filipiniana?

No. The Evening Gown competition is not limited to a Filipiniana-style gown.

Candidates are free to wear any elegant evening gown of their choice. They may choose a modern, classic, or Filipiniana-inspired design, whichever best highlights their beauty, confidence, and personality on stage.

The gown must remain elegant, appropriate, and suitable for a formal pageant competition.

5. Are candidates responsible for their own outfits?

Yes. Candidates are generally responsible for preparing their own competition outfits, shoes, accessories, makeup, and other personal requirements unless the organizers officially announce a sponsored item or service.

6. What are the major competition categories?

The official categories include the Production Number, Casual Wear, Evening Gown, Talent Competition, Self-Introduction, Advocacy or Crown with a Cause, and Question and Answer.

7. Is the talent competition required?

Yes. Every official candidate must prepare a talent presentation according to the time limit and guidelines that will be provided by the organizers.

8. What language may be used during the competition?

Candidates may use English, Filipino, or another language approved by the organizers. However, the candidate must be able to communicate her answer clearly. Translation assistance may be arranged when necessary and approved in advance.

9. Will there be training for the candidates?

Yes. Official candidates may receive online or scheduled training in catwalk, stage presence, self-introduction, public speaking, and Question and Answer. The final training schedule will be announced by the organizers.

10. What is the official electronic ticket requirement?

Each official candidate is expected to help sell 1,000 electronic tickets at ₩1,000 each, equivalent to a minimum fundraising amount of ₩1,000,000.

11. Will the candidate receive an incentive from her ticket sales?

Yes. A candidate may receive a 10% incentive based on her confirmed and fully paid electronic ticket sales, subject to the official fundraising rules and verification of the organizers.

12. Is ticket selling included in the judges’ scores?

No. Fundraising or ticket sales do not automatically determine the major pageant titles. Major titles are based on the official judging criteria. However, a separate fundraising or Crown with a Cause recognition may be awarded.

13. What is the Crown with a Cause Ambassador?

The Crown with a Cause Ambassador serves as a charity representative of Hiraya. She may participate in charity activities, promote kindness and community service, and help lead selected donation drives for beneficiaries in the Philippines.

14. Will the Crown with a Cause Ambassador have many required duties?

No. Her participation will be arranged according to her availability. Hiraya understands that the titleholder may have work, family, and personal responsibilities.

15. Are special awards included in the computation of the major titles?

Special awards may be judged separately and do not automatically guarantee placement among the major titleholders unless the organizers officially announce otherwise.

16. What happens if a candidate withdraws after being accepted?

A candidate who wishes to withdraw must immediately inform the organizers. Payments already used for tickets, promotional materials, training, reservations, or event preparations may be non-refundable according to the official rules.

17. When is the application deadline?

The application deadline is August 31, 2026, unless an extension or earlier closing date is officially announced by the organizers.

18. Where may I submit my application?

Applicants may complete the official application form through the registration link provided by Miss Hiraya Filipina Korea 2026.
